Our Mailbox service allows you to use our address as a virtual business address, helping you to create a high quality, professional image for your company.
The Service costs only £15 per calendar month with a one-off administration fee of £10. It operates on a rolling contract basis which means that our users can cancel their account at any time. This monthly fee allows a client to use our address on their websites, in their contact information and on their stationary/business cards. We receive all mail on their behalf and send a notification email on the same day of its arrival. Regrettably, we cannot offer a mail forwarding service at the moment but it is something we are considering for the future.
Our reception is manned by friendly staff 6 days a week, often from 8am-9pm (depending on opening hours). We are occasionally closed on weekday evenings and weekends so we ask that you ring ahead before attempting to collect post outside of office hours.

Use Our Mailbox Address as your ‘Registered Office’ With Companies House: £3 per month
If you work from home you may wish to avoid your own address appearing on official documents or letterheads or appear on the Companies House information. All limited liability companies and charities registered with Companies House must have a Registered Office at which official documents can be served under the Companies Act of 1985 Section 287.
For an additional charge of £3 per month you can use your address at The Gate for this purpose. A company’s Registered Office address does not need to be the same as its primary place of trade/business but all official HMRC mail will be sent to it and it will be publicly accessible on the Companies House website. If you chose to use this option your company name will be stated on a board at The Gate.
Companies House will automatically update HMRC if you change your address to The Gate. If a company changes its registered office address after incorporation, Companies House must be notified by the company of the change in address.
If you are registering The Gate as your first business address you simply use the address provided on application to The Gate’s Mailbox Service on any forms used for Companies House.
You must inform us of your intent to use The Gate as your Registered Office address.
Discounted Meeting Room Hire
You’re welcome to use the CafeBar at The Gate for meeting colleagues and clients informally at no extra cost. If you’d prefer a more quiet or private environment, please contact the Hires Team for a 25% discount on any room hire for Mailbox Service Users. We have a variety of spaces to hire from smaller studios to our grand theatre.
